We are searching for Health Physics Technical Staff for the Industrial Hygiene and Radiation Protection Laboratories Department at the Albuquerque facility. The salary is commensurate. A benefit and relocation package is available. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include assisting the Project Leader of the Radiation Protection Dosimetry Project (RPDP) to provide external and internal dosimetry services. Development and updating of work control procedures for dosimetry, administrative, safety processes and quality assurance reviews and identification of corrective actions. Develop and review quality assurance/control programs, staff training, and records for completeness and accuracy. Troubleshoot all information technology applications. Initiate purchase orders for equipment, materials, services, generating and distributing reports in compliance with DOE orders. Serve as alternate Sandia Delegated Representative on RPDP contracts.

Preferences

Must have a MS degree in health physics, physics, nuclear engineering or related field, one year of operational internal or external dosimetry experience or 6 credit-hours of graduate-level dosimetry coursework. Experience working in a team environment and meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Ability to manage multiple projects and create detailed action plans, demonstrate a high level of service delivery and do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Desired credentials include two or more years experience in operational internal or external dosimetry, operational experience with DOELAP accreditation and two or more years experience in radiation protection.
