IT- Report Analyst
Job Purpose
Supports all aspects of the business including manufacturing and finance. Works closely with the business units to gather requirements and design reports, database queries, functions, and stored procedures or data cubes to support the evolving business needs.
Essential Functions
A Report Analyst is a self-starter with 5 –10 years experience who can take a report from requirements gathering through design and implementation. They will be required to interact with internal customers in finance and operations on a regular basis to meet their decision support needs.
The position must be able to write queries in support of their reports, perform ad hoc queries, interact with Excel, and learn new technologies.
The position requires some knowledge of financial and/or manufacturing systems. Should be comfortable interacting with various data sources including legacy ERP systems.
The right person will be interested in learning new systems and helping customers find ideal decision support solutions.
Preferences
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years experience related to the position
At least 2 years experience with Crystal Reports, preferably with version 9 or later and experience with Crystal Enterprise. Prefer 5+ years.
At least 2 years developing SQL queries
Background in a financial and/or manufacturing environment
Required Skills
Ability to gather and document user requirements
Good troubleshooting skills
Microsoft Excel
Pluses
Experience with any of the following systems: JDE ERP, manufacturing execution systems, Syteline ERP
Experience with any of these technologies: data cubes, OLAP, business intelligence tools
Database administration
This position requires Citizenship or Green Card Status
