Cross-platform C++ Software Developer
Job Purpose
Develop and implement cross-platform user interfaces in C++ using Boost and Qt for scientific analysis and simulation codes running on Linux and Windows. Design and create near real time 3-D visualization & rendering techniques. Implement parallel algorithms in both shared memory and message passing based multi-processor systems. Apply object-oriented software design and implementation approaches to solving complex problems in an agile environment.
C++ template meta-programming gurus strongly encouraged to apply!
Essential Functions
Candidates must be top-notch, responsible, self-motivated, honest, and able to work well independently or in small teams. Able to rapidly learn new languages, tools, and techniques as needed to meet mission requirements. Must have strong professional recommendations. Due to our work with the Department of Defense, applicants must be U.S. citizens and be willing to undergo a background investigation to obtain a security clearance. Some work will be performed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque.
Preferences
B.S. in computer science, math, engineering, or physics required; M.S. or Ph.D. desired. Strong C++ programming skills required. Experience with Boost, STL, C++ template meta-programming, Qt, and OpenGL desired.
